Automotores Orletti
Location: Venancio Flores Street 3519/21, (corner of Emilio Lamarca and Federal Capital)
Automotores Orletti was a car repair shop prior to the dirty war. In 1975 it was rented by SIDE to serve as the regional headquarters for Operation Condor. The owner believed he was renting to an import/export company. Around 300 prisoners were detained at this location. Many of whom were never seen again. |
Memory Plaques
These plaques can be found all over Argentina. They are placed in the pavement outside of the residences of the disappeared. The photo the right reads: Here lived Graciela Verdecanna a popular militant. Detained and disappeared June 12th, 1977 for terrorism of the State. Neighbourhoods for memory and Justice.
